Whether exploring near or far, we are always looking for a great breakfast. One of the best we’ve found is at Gracie’s on West Main.
Gracie’s is located in the Keystone Court, a shopping and service center in Leola, Lancaster County. Gracie’s is the street-facing business, set in a former single-family home that anchors an otherwise industrial-looking business complex.

The dining area is actually multiple semi-connected rooms with a host stand in the hallway. Each room is filled with blackboards where inspirational and amusing quotes are scrawled in red, yellow, blue and pink chalk.

Every visit to Gracie’s is an opportunity for indulgence. For me, that starts with a cup of chai. The steamed tea latte is lightly spiced and more than a little sweet. It’s a great pick-me-up to start the meal.

One of the things that has kept us coming back to Gracie’s is the bacon menu – bacon prepared eight different ways. But I never make it past the caramelized bacon.
The caramelized bacon is hickory-smoked bacon that’s cooked in brown sugar to create a crispy, candy-like coating around the outside. It’s more sweet than savory, breakfast’s answer to dessert. But it is absolutely the best thing on the menu.

On my last visit in November 2025, I decided I needed to balance out all the sweet with my favorite savory breakfast dish: the spicy chorizo hash. The dish features a base of seasoned homefries topped with peppers, pickled red onions, chipotle lime aioli, queso fresco, two eggs, and Mexican chorizo.
There is no denying the heat in this dish. Gracie’s notes that their chorizo is made with fresh ground pork, dried chilis and ancho paste, and the combination definitely burns on the way down. But it’s a flavorful burn and the perfect antithesis to the sweet chai and bacon. It’s also entirely too much food. I took half of my hash home to heat up for lunch the next day.

While breakfast is my favorite meal of the day – and my favorite at Gracie’s – they also serve really good lunch and dinner items.
Their “Not Your Average Grilled Cheese” menu is perfect for lunch. Each sandwich is served on grilled sourdough and served with a cup of tomato bisque.

On a previous visit, we tried the bacon jam grilled cheese. It’s topped with Gracie’s bacon jam with cheddar and American cheese. The menu describes the bacon jam as “sweet, savory, sticky, gooey, spicy and smokey,” and while it definitely hits a little on all of those, it’s the sweetness and saltiness that shines through.

Among the handhelds at dinner, the ranch grilled chicken sandwich is another good option. It is topped with bacon (of course), ranch dressing, lettuce and tomato. The marinated chicken breast is bigger than the bun and has a solid flavor on its own, but the house-made ranch puts it over the top.

Speaking of over-the-top, you can also indulge in the award-winning caramel burger. While we haven’t tried it at Gracie’s, we’ve had the caramel burger at their other restaurant – Louie’s Kitchen & Bar in Reading – as well as at the Taste of Hamburg-er Festival in Hamburg where the burger was named Grand Champion.
The caramel burger is a delicious indulgence that comes topped with caramelized bacon, onion jam, bacon jam and cheese. We’ve ordered it more than once at Louie’s, and it’s still one of the best burgers we’ve tried.
It’s just another reason to love Gracie’s.
