Kutztown’s Allentown & Auburn Railroad is small but mighty attraction delivering personalized service. We visited for their Santa Claus rides in 2024 and loved everything about the expierince.


Reading Society of Model Engineers

When you hear “model railroad,” you probably think of the tabletop displays. And while the Reading Society of Model Engineers has plenty of those, they also operate the quarter-scale Laurel Run Railroad and the narrow gauge “light rail” during the open houses at their Berks County clubhouse.
Horseshoe Curve

While you can’t ride a train at the World Famous Horseshoe Curve, you can spend a morning or afternoon waving at the engineers driving freight or the passengers riding the Amtrak through western Pennsylvania.
