Royersford is located in the ancestral home of the Leanapi people.

Date of Visit: November 1, 2025
Tucked in the eastern corner of Montgomery County, Royersford is an often overlooked borough. The Schuylkill River Trail passes by on the opposite shoreline, and Route 422 skirts the downtown.
But if you want a great breakfast, it’s worth finding your way to Royersford because that’s where you’ll find Annamarie’s.
Annamarie’s opened at the corner of Main Street and Fourth Avenue in 2010. As small as Royersford feels, the space is even smaller. We walked in and were among six other people crammed inside the front door. The host took our name and phone number, and we headed back outside until he called me to say a table was ready.

Back inside, we were seated at a table for four against the wall that separated the dining room from the kitchen. The gray walls against the dark ceiling, combined with the chandeliers shaped like model solar systems, gave the space a modern feel. It felt a little cramped, but it was probably worse for me as I had a seven-year-old and a two-year-old (plus a diaper bag) in tow.
The good news for this dad was that the service was fast. After entertaining the boys with a couple short videos, our brunch had arrived.

Annamarie’s is a breakfast and lunch spot with a heavy emphasis on the breakfast. The menu warns that the pancakes are as big as your head, a fact that Jakob was able to confirm. (He tried to order two pancakes but our waitress rightly talked him out of it).
Both he and Lukas got their pancakes with chocolate chips. They came served with butter in the middle which quickly began to melt into the fresh pancakes. Jakob nearly finished his, leaving just a few bites left while the little guy ate about one-third of his, the rest coming home in a to-go box.

I decided to treat myself to the decadent churro French toast. The slices of thick Texas toast were dipped in cinnamon and sugar and topped with cream cheese glaze.
It was outstanding, one of the best breakfasts that I have had. The bites with the glaze were the best. Thankfully, there was plenty of it. I would absolutely order it again, but I would not order a side of homefries like I did this time. I finished them, but I really didn’t need to.

Our meal came in just north of $30 for the three of us (the boys each ordered a glass of milk in addition to their pancakes) which felt very reasonable for the portions.

I didn’t expect anything less, though. While I had never been to Annamarie’s, I had been to Annamarie’s on Main in Birdsboro in 2023 when I reviewed it for my Berks County Eats blog. On that visit, I had the equally decadent cinnamon swirl pecan French toast (think a sticky bun crossed with French toast in the best possible way).
You might have to go a little out of the way to get there, and you may have to wait a little bit for your table, and you might feel a little crowded in the dining room. But the food is absolutely worth it.
